In 2022, the American Heart Association launched an initiative with funding support from Merck for Mothers, a global maternal health effort that aims to create a world where no woman needs to die while giving birth.

The initiative aims to improve postpartum systems of care related to cardiovascular health, expand professional education and training, identify barriers and models for guideline-based postpartum care, narrow silos in postpartum care, and strengthen community-clinical linkages. 

To help them promote this initiative, we launched a digital Maternal Health campaign that primarily focused on women of color, the most at-risk group of soon-to-be mothers.
